EU Special Representative hopes for GID parties to have slightest wish for agreement

“I hope that participants of the Geneva International Discussions (GID) will sit at a negotiation table with the slightest wish to reach an agreement. We will attempt to move forward on larger-scale issues. However, I am not sure we will reach progress because time is difficult,” said Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia.

According to the EU Special Representative, the 60th round of the GID is as significant as all previous rounds. He welcomed holding negotiations regularly during the geopolitically complex situation.

Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia said that at the 60th round of the Geneva International Discussions (GID), Georgia would raise several issues, which the Russian Federation disregarded and demonstrated a destructive approach.
