MFA: Azerbaijani FM thanks Georgian side for swift resolution of Azerbaijani oil products transit to Armenia
Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, held a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation, the foreign ministers reviewed the past year, discussed ongoing projects of strategic importance between the two countries, and explored prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
“Particular emphasis was placed on the positive momentum in the exchange of high-level visits between the countries.
Special attention was paid to the progress achieved in trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister thanked the Georgian side for the swift resolution of the issue concerning the transit of Azerbaijani oil products through Georgia to Armenia.
Discussing ongoing processes in the region, the importance of peace and stability in the South Caucasus was underlined, along with Georgia’s readiness to contribute to this process.
The ministers thanked each other for their efficient cooperation. Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, congratulated her Azerbaijani colleague on the approaching New Year and expressed her wish for further strengthening of bilateral relations,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry’s statement notes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan had released information about the telephone conversation between Maka Botchorishvili and Jeyhun Bayramov.
