Metropolitan Shio thanks World Patriarchate's delegation for their constructive approach to issue of Ukrainian church

We discussed many details. The most important thing is that we clearly saw their constructive approach towards our church, – Metropolitan Shio told reporters after the meeting with the World Patriarchate’s delegation.

Metropolitan Shio thanked the members of the delegation for their approach. “It was a very important meeting. . . . They said they had not come to convince us to make a specific decision. It is also important that they can understand why we do not want to make a hurried decision,” Metropolitan Shio said.

The delegation of Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople is visiting Georgia. The delegation members headed by French Metropolitan Emmanuel met with CCatholicosPatriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II earlier this afternoon.
