MEP Anna Fotyga says Saakashvili, Gvaramia's cases show how judiciary works in Georgia

The cases of Georgia’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili and Mtavari Arkhi General Director Nika Gvaramia demonstrate how the Georgian judiciary works, said Anna Fotyga, a member of the European Parliament, in her Twitter post.

“Almost a decade has passed since the peaceful transfer of power by Mikheil Saakashvili. Despite this, his situation and Nika Gvaramia’s case are symbolic and show how the Georgian judiciary works,” she tweeted.

The next court hearing into imprisoned Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili’s jail term has been slated for December 29.
