Members of Georgian parliamentary delegation meet with Congressman Andy Ogles
As part of their visit to the United States of America, members of the Georgian parliamentary delegation, Mariam Lashkhi, Lika Shartava, and Eka Sepashvili, met with Congressman Andy Ogles.
According to the Georgian Parliament, the discussions centred on Georgia’s strategic partnerships with the United States, the European Union, and China. The delegates also addressed Georgia’s foreign policy and the reset of Georgian-American relations.
“One of the key topics discussed was the development prospects of the Middle Corridor. Issues related to cybersecurity were also on the agenda. It was emphasised that cooperation in security, including cybersecurity, remains a vital aspect of the strategic partnership. The meeting also underscored the importance of supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the Georgian Parliament stated.
The meeting was attended by Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States.
The delegation was led by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. It also included Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; Lika Shartava, Member of the European Integration Committee; and Eka Sepashvili, Deputy Chair of the People’s Power political group.
