Meeting of IPRM group underway in Ergneti

The next round meeting of the group on Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) is going on in Ergneti village.

The Georgian side will raise the issue of unlawfully detained Georgian citizens and borderization process near Kareli and Gori municipality villages, the humanitarian situation, and the return of IDPs to their homes.

“New constructions are installed at Gremiskhevi and old ones are repaired. Eight such facts were observed. This process comprised Gori and Gori and Dusheti municipalities,” said Irakli Antadze, Deputy Head of the Analytical Department at the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG).

According to Irakli Antadze, eight Georgian citizens, among them Ramaz Begheluri, remain in unlawful imprisonment.

“As for the illegal punishment for him, we are going to hear explanations from the participants of the meeting,” he said.
