Mayor Kaladze: Deep State resorting to dirty tricks against political parties when its own proxies lose at the ballot box

“The Deep State poses a grave threat to the modern world,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated, responding to discussions regarding the potential banning of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

Kaladze noted that this is by no means the first time a shadow establishment has sought to crush a democratically elected political force.

“When they realise that representatives of the Deep State cannot win in a given country, they try to defeat specific political parties through underhanded and dirty methods. Look at the example of Romania: a candidate won the first round of the presidential election, only to face a barrage of allegations and be barred from participating in the runoff. We all know what that points to. However, people in Europe are beginning to wake up. They see the challenges clearly and are taking decisions in their own best interests,” Kakha Kaladze stated.
