How many ministries will remain in Georgian government is still unknown
The final decision on the number of ministries in a renewed structure of the Georgian government has not been yet made, – Akaki Zoidze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Healthcare Committee said after the consultations held at the central office of Georgian Dream party.
He explained that the proposal of the Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze about reduction the number of Ministries from 14 to 11 is being discussed – this issue is still under consideration.
The MP has confirmed that the ruling team is discussing the issue of integration of several ministries, including Correlation with justice, Culture with Education, Refugees with Healthcare. Chairman of the Parliamentary Healthcare Committee does not rule out that changes may refer to other ministries.
Meeting has been held at the “Georgian Dream” office today. Consultations on planned reorganization issues will continue tomorrow.
Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze will present the renewed Cabinet and new structure of the government within 3 weeks. In the framework of structural reforms, the number of ministries may be reduced from 14 to 11.
