During the Presidency of Donald Trump, US Administration and Government of Georgia have advanced to a new level of relationship. It is all time high and what is most important – it is all-inclusive, – Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze stated after the meeting with John Bolton, US National Security Advisor and Assistant to President Trump for National Security Affairs (NSA).
The head of government noted that at the meeting with John Bolton, the sides discussed all those topics that were initiated during his visit to Washington.
“During the Presidency of Donald Trump, US Administration and Government of Georgia have advanced to a new level of relationship. It is all time high and what is most important – it is all-inclusive. With Mr. Bolton we discussed all those topics that were initiated during my visit to Washington D.C. We touched upon the most pressing issues for Georgia, which include the humanitarian disaster in the occupied territories of the country and the peace-keeping initiatives that will help us in overcoming these challenges. At the same time, we talked about the potential introduction of a free trade regime between the USA and Georgia, which will advance the bilateral relations to a principally new phase of development. We discussed the regional context and security architecture, which should exist in Georgia to address the challenges that the country faces. John Bolton is a loyal friend of Georgia. He has a clear vision on how to make our relations furthermore strategic, with a greater focus on specific outcomes and outputs. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to him for this very vital support” – stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
