Mamuka Bakhtadze: Second round will be held in compliance with all standards, once again proving that Georgia is democracy
The second round will also be held in compliance with all standards, once again proving that Georgia is the democracy, – the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mamuka Bakhtadze told journalists after opening the Ilia Chavchavadze State Drama Theater in Batumi.
As Bakhtadze noted, unfortunately, there was not a European style pre-election campaign.
Prime Minister calls on voters to be active on November 28.
“Since 2012 all elections have been held in Georgia in accordance with the democratic standards and were positively assessed in the reports of international organizations. It was reflected in the reports of relevant international organizations. This is our main achievement on the path of Georgia’s European integration. The second round will also be held in compliance with all standards, once again proving that Georgia is the democracy.
As for the pre-election period, unfortunately, we do not have a European style campaign. The population is well aware of the dirty techniques used by our opponents, personal insults, misinformation, fake news and many other negatives. Despite it, I would like to declare no one should have the illusion of bringing dissonance in our life.
On November 28, Georgian people will make a choice and the Georgian people will be the only one who will decide who will be the President of Georgia. I call on voters to be active as much as possible at the elections,” – Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.
