Russia makes aggressive steps, while we respond with the consolidation of democracy and speeding up with sustainable economic development on this painful challenge – Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said in Davos, Switzerland.

Georgian Prime Minister was asked about the role of Russia on the path of European integration of Georgia during the discussion “Eurasia in new global context” held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2019.

Bakhtadze said that integration into European family was a civilized choice of Georgia. He said he believed that Georgia’s integration into NATO was in the interests of the region as well since the Caucasus region would become more prognosticated and stable.

“We believe that our aspiration to become a member of the European Union and NATO serves regional interests because it will help the region to use its economic potential,” Georgian PM said.
