Mamuka Bakhtadze inspected the construction works at Zemo Imereti-Oni access road
Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia inspected the construction works at Zemo Imereti-Oni access road today.
Head of Government of Georgia stressed the significance of the project for the development of Racha-Lechkhumi region, as well as for the socio-economic and demographic performance, thereby noting that all the large infrastructure projects are scheduled to be completed by 2022 in line with the government-led program.
Zemo Imereti-Oni access road will be 52 kilometers long, originating in Sachkhere, passing 7 villages and intersecting with Ambrolauri-Oni road, which is within 20 kilometers from Ambrolauri and 5 kilometers from Oni. New road will shorten the time of travel and transportation along Sachkhere-Oni route by at least 1 hour and will considerably increase the degree of service-delivery and safety on traffic.
Construction works are completed at the first lot of the project covering a 2.5 kilometer-long road between Zemo Imereti and Racha as of today. Progress is ongoing at 2nd and 6th lots and other segments are being tendered.
