Mamuka Bakhtadze – Identity of Georgian Culture with European culture is evident for every guest

Georgia is a country where any person can feel the importance of its history and unique culture – Mamuka Bakhtadze, Georgian Prime Minister said during the opening of the project “Georgia, Europe” initiated and organized by the Georgian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports with support of the Georgian government.

According to Prime Minister, Georgia’s geography is distinctive since Georgia played the role of a bridge during centuries for its location on the crossroad between Asia and Europe.

Bakhtadze claimed that Georgia was proud of its culture, old tradition that ensured nurturing of the national identity.  “I always underline that the choice of the Georgian people to become a full-fledged member of the European family is not a political choice. It is a civilized choice,” PM said.
