Mamuka Bakhtadze – Elections are best, transparent and objective criteria
No government should be allowed to say that it is successful until two most painful problems remain unsolved in the country – occupation and poverty – Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
Prime Minister commented on the survey of the National Democratic Institute (NDI). Bakhtadze said that he had no opportunity to become introduced with results of the survey, but added that sociological surveys were not necessary to understand public opinion on the development of the country and the mood of the population.
“I want to express the position of Georgian citizens. Speaking of the success of the government, no government in Georgia should be allowed to say that it is the most successful until we have two unresolved problems in the country – occupation and poverty.
As for the general confidence in our team, we do not need sociological surveys for this. Elections are the best, transparent and objective criteria. We had elections two days ago there were and trust towards our team was 60%. The elections once again demonstrated that “a big part of the population” supports the Georgian Dream,” – said the Prime Minister and thanked people for support.
