Making a map in violation of Georgia’s territorial integrity may be defined as a criminal offense.
The authors of the relevant amendments are members of parliamentary majority Irakli Sesiashvili and Otar Chrdileli.
According to the amendments, to produce, distribute, advertise, sell, import or export the map or other items containing the map, which violates Georgia’s territorial integrity, shall be punishable by fine or by imprisonment up to two years.
The amendments have been initiated at today’s sitting of the Bureau of the Parliament of Georgia.
According to current law, the minimum fine equals to GEL 2 000.
