“By adopting a resolution drafted based on Joe Wilson’s information, they will not harm us. It will be counterproductive,” said Levan Machavariani, a member of the parliamentary majority.

According to Machavariani, Congressman Joe Wilson earns money through lobbying.

“Such a type of injustice will not harm us. It will be counterproductive for them. The attitude of our citizens towards these institutions has radically changed when they adopt such irrational resolutions. This resolution comprises lies and Joe Wilson’s ideas. We know that Congressman Joe Wilson earns money through lobbying, as confirmed by FARA documents.

By adopting a resolution drafted based on Joe Wilson’s information, they will not harm us. From one resolution to the next, and from one unjust decision or statement to the next, they are tarnishing their reputation. It is high time for them to come to their senses since they are in a process from which it is difficult to find a way out, and they will have much to apologize to the Georgian people,” he said.

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions has supported the draft resolution on Georgia initiated by Congressman Joe Wilson.
