Majority leader: Government fights for transparency, UNM, NGOs - for black money

“We fight for our country’s independence, sovereignty and transparency, while the United National Movement (UNM) party and the non-governmental sector fight for black money. We promise that their fight will end in a failure,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, leader of the parliamentary majority and Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, the ruling team resubmitted the Foreign Financing Transparency bill because donors promised to make their donations transparent but did not meet the promise and deceived Georgian society.

“Let them say which part was transparent. The financing is not transparent, they are telling lies,” he said.
