Luke Coffey – US can help Georgia in better implementation of peace initiative
The US can assure partners in better acknowledging that presence of Russian troops on Georgia’s territory is occupation – Luke Coffey, Researcher on nations stretching from South America to the Middle East as director of the Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation stated.
According to Coffey, Trump Administration is assisting Georgia in increase of defense capabilities and the US can help Georgia in better implementation of the peace initiative “A Step to Better Future.”
“Active support to this initiative on part of official Washington will be exemplary to other countries. This effort will reinforce the position of the Georgian government and will make the initiative more reliable for Georgian citizens and those people residing across occupied territories,” Luke Coffey said.
