The local self-governance elections are being held in Georgia today. Elections are taking place in 5 self-governance cities and 59 municipalities. The 2058 members of 64 Sakrebulos (city assemblies) and 64 Mayors will be elected with 4-year term.

The polling stations were opened at 8 AM and the voting process will continue till 8 PM. The polling stations are opened in 73 election constituencies across Georgia except Georgia’s two occupied regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

The total number of voters based on Central Election Commission (CEC) is 3, 440, 123 people.
