Local of Kirbali village detained

Russian soldiers detained Mamuka Samkharadze, 39, local of Kirbali village of Shida Kartli region on charge of attempt to cross the so-called border illegally.

Samkharadze’s family members are asking for help from the government because they cannot pay the fine in the amount of 2 thousand Russian Rubles.

Samkharadze is transferred to Tskhinvali pre-detention cell. Negotiations in release of the Georgian citizen are being held with the occupational regime through the hotline of European Union.

Kirbali village is adjacent to the occupied territory. Samkharadze was collecting firewood when detained.
