Lithuanian MFA: Russia-Georgia flights resumption goes against Georgia's EU, Euro-Atlantic path
We once again call on Georgia to align with the EU sanctions against Russia and also in the aviation sector, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry released a statement on Twitter on Friday.
“We note with disappointment that the resumption of the Russia-Georgia flights goes against the interests of Georgia and its chosen EU and Euro-Atlantic integration path. We once again call on Georgia to align with the EU sanctions against Russia and also in the aviation sector,” the statement reads.
Russian plane of Azimuth Airline has carried out the first Moscow-Tbilisi flight today following the resumption of direct flights between Russia and Georgia.
