Lithuanian FM urges EU to help eastern neighbors get Covid-19 vaccine
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis believes the Covid-19 vaccination is a geopolitical challenge, and the EaP countries should not be overlooked in the wake of pandemics.
“We applied to European Commission to put Eastern European Partners, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine in the vaccination program,” Lithuanian FM said in an interview with Lithuanian Radio.
Earlier in January, Lithuania and twelve other EU member states called on the EU to help secure access to Covid-19 vaccines for the six Eastern Partnership countries – Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, and Armenia.
