Lithuanian FM: People of Georgia, we know you won't give up, so we won't give up either

“People of Georgia, You are Georgian and therefore you are European. No one can take that away from you,” Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said on Thursday.

“The journey is long and difficult, but we know you won’t give up, so we won’t give up either,” he wrote on X.

Landsbergis comment follows the Georgian government’s decision “not to place the issue of opening accession negotiations with the EU on the agenda until the end of 2028.”
