Limitations imposed on selling of spices

Physical persons will be prohibited to produce and sell spices, National Food Safety Agency reports. Temporary measures will be activated on production and representation of the spices on the consumer market.

Business operators and companies will be allowed to sell spices only in packaged form by observing labeling rules.

National Food Safety Agency carried out laboratory testing of spices. Increased amount of plumbum was discovered in 33 cases out of 187 samples. The measures aim at protection of consumers rights and human health.
