“Today’s announcement regarding the decrease in egg prices can be regarded as a positive development,” stated Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Georgian Government’s Administration.

According to Zhorzholiani, this underscores that the initiative undertaken by the Georgian government to lower food prices is not only appropriate but also just.

“It’s a welcome step, but it does not mean that the questions surrounding this particular product, or others, have been fully resolved. We must continue to work diligently. These developments reflect positive momentum and demonstrate that the process initiated by the Georgian government to reduce food prices is both correct and fair. We believe that active efforts should persist, utilising both the government coordination mechanisms and parliamentary channels,” Zhorzholiani added.

For reference, member companies of the Poultry Development Association have decided to reduce the price of eggs.
