Lelo's Mamuka Khazaradze vows to fight to the end, views fight for an idea as happiness in life
“I was summoned to the so-called Commission yesterday with new allegations saying I had committed treason before homeland and they were probing into the matter. People, who ceded 80% of the country to Russia, while 20% of the territory remains occupied, told me that,” wrote Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of the Lelo party on Facebook.
According to Khazaradze, his and Badri Badri Japaridze’s (Lelo’s other leader) trial was scheduled for June 20, adding both leaders of the Lelo party had been persecuted for 5 years since Bidzina Ivanishvili (founder of the Georgian Dream party) sought their arrest.
Mamuka Khazaradze appealed to Bidzina Ivanishvili and declared that the fight against the corrupt authorities would not stop for a second.
“I would like to tell Bidzina Ivanishvili one thing! Whatever decision your enslaved and obedient judges make, the fight against your treacherous policy will continue, likewise the struggle for the country’s full de-occupation, together with the Georgian people.
Happiness in life is fighting for the idea and this idea is the country’s freedom. Yes, I am happy that I am in the right place and will stand there forever, this fills me with joy. The fight against your corrupt authorities will not stop for a second. This country has different prospects and future. The fight will continue to the end, remember this,” he said.
