Lelo's Grigol Gegelia says his party offers colleagues to engage in civilised discussions

“We invite our colleagues to engage in a civilised dialogue. We don’t ask for permissions or blessings over participation or non-participation in elections,” said Grigol Gegelia, a member of the Lelo party.

According to Gegelia, healthy discourse is beneficial.

“Nobody will change our minds when we have not decided anything. Regrettably, some individuals encounter difficulties with engaging in discussions, which adversely affects the overall environment and reinforces a negative perception of dialogue—perceptions that equate discussions with nothing but problems. This attitude echoes the Bolshevik mindset we are striving to overcome in our fight to liberate the country from Bolshevik influence.

Therefore, without menacing, we are not asking for permission or blessings on whether to run or not to run in elections. We offered our colleagues discussions as equal partners, free of counselling or offence. Let our colleagues engage in discussions in a civilized environment. This is our proposal.

We are a significant political player even in these falsified elections. We possess a clear vision of what is beneficial for the country and enjoy the support of many voters. Consequently, we will actively seek their input and perspectives. Therefore, we would better discuss it calmly. We disregard many things, including indecent statements, for the sake of joint interests. I urge everyone to stick to a civilised approach. We are ready for talks in any format, including public or TV debates. We want business-type discourse in a civilised environment,” he stated.
