Lelo's Datunashvili says party to continue positioning independently
The Lelo-Strong Georgia will continue political positioning independently,” Lelo’s member Tazo Datunashvili announced.
According to Datunashvili, the party will not enter into a process without substantial grounds that cause expectations in society but fail to justify them.
He said another reason was the crisis among the political forces and the attitude of society toward such political processes ending with no results.
“As for the crisis of trust between political parties, it is not based on personal grievances, but rather a problem of trust that all players and signatories will be committed to the fulfilment of the documents that they signed, and we have experience from the past.
We are not going to limit ourselves to signing documents since we believe that we should talk to everyone, be it Gakharia’s party or seven or eight others. There is a united strategy and plan, and this does not require additional signatures,” he said, adding the party had signed the Georgian Charter and the Code of Conduct.
