Lelo: President refused to veto Administrative Offenses Code amendments that contradict Constitution

President Salome Zourabichvili always was and is a dependent president. She is not independent in her decisions, said Grigol Gegelia, a member of the opposition Lelo party.

According to Gegelia, President refused or refrained to veto Administrative Offenses Code amendments, which contradict the Constitution and freedom of Georgian citizens.

“Salome Zourabichvili could preserve the people’s freedom and say that what the Georgian Dream is going to do is not right and compatible with the Constitution of Georgia. Her comment that she could not find legislative grounds to veto the draft-bill is absurd,” Gegelia claimed.

President Salome Zourabichvili refrained from veto on Administrative Offenses Code amendments on May 7.
