The parliamentary faction Lelo – Partnership for Georgia initiated the establishment of an anti-corruption commission along with the registration of a draft-bill on corruption, which envisages the establishment of an anti-corruption agency.

According to Mamuka Khazaradze, Leader of Lelo, the commission will investigate all the corruption-related cases and will give an answer to the public about “who is stealing the budget in Georgia.”

“Under the conditions of the Georgian Dream, nepotism and corruption are deeply rooted in the country. It is a disease that hampers the country progress, kills hope in the country, prevents a dramatic inflow of investments into the country and development of the economy,” Mamuka Khazaradze claimed.

The Lelo leader thanked non-governmental organizations, MPs, former MPs, as well as representatives of the organizations that took an active part in drafting of this bill and international organizations that have financially supported this bill.
