Lelo leader to communicate with UNM Chair
Leader of the opposition Lelo party, Mamuka Khazaradze, said he planned to communicate with Nika Melia, Chairman of the United National Movement (UNM) party, to persuade him to agree on a bail proposed to be paid by the European Union.
“The European Union and its funds do not pay the bail for criminals. Nika Melia should use this chance. It will be a slap in the face to the Georgian Dream and their judiciary,” Khazaradze said.
The Lelo party leader also commented about preparations for the upcoming local self-governance elections. He said Lelo is an independent party, and it would make an independent decision about the mayoral candidate.
