Lelo for Georgia says direct involvement in parliament work to depend on Giorgi Rurua and Nika Melia release

Badri Japaridze, leader of the Lelo for Georgia party, says they will start working in the parliament after the release of Giorgi Rurua and Nika Melia.

Japaridze noted after a meeting with the European Council President Charles Michel that the sooner Giorgi Rurua and Nika Melia are released, the sooner they would involve in the parliamentary work.

“Giorgi Rurua and Nika Melia will be released, but we want it to happen quickly. No one will be able to pay bail without Melia’s consent.

We will start working in the parliament when these two people are free. However, if these people cannot be released before the amnesty law adopted, then maybe we should support the amnesty law, ”Badri Japaridze said.

Most of the Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
