Lelo commits to coordinate with OSCE/ODIHR election observation mission
“We welcome the OSCE/ODIHR mission’s likely observation of elections in Georgia. This is significant, and we have also worked on this,” said Grigol Gegelia, one of the leaders of the Lelo-Strong Georgia party.
According to Gegelia, the party will fully coordinate with any election observation mission.
“Presence of international observers at elections is significant. We have always viewed upcoming so-called elections as de-facto elections, and we will call the October 4 elections so since the idea and practice of elections are undermined in Georgia, while trust of the public toward the election process keeps low and the Georgian Dream’s regime is naturally responsible for this.
At the same time, we beleive that we should use all tools for the fight and in this aspect, we welcome the OSCE/ODIHR mission’s likely observing elections in Georgia. This is significant, and we have also worked on this. Our party is committed to fully coordinate with any election observation mission,” he said.
