“Implementation of the agreement does not depend on the will of a particular person. It is the responsibility toward the country to move to a new level of cooperation,” said Anri Okhanashvili, Chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Georgian Parliament.
“We must support depolarization, de-escalation. For this, we should adopt an amnesty act. The act of amnesty will be initiated and adopted. All signatories took responsibility and pledged their commitment. The commitment to the European Union must be fulfilled,” Okhanashvili said.
Nika Melia, the Chairman of the United National Movement, addressed the representatives of the opposition who signed the European Council President Charles Michel-brokered document. Melia urges them to retract the amnesty bill. He expressed readiness to agree to the bail offered by the European Union.
