Lawyer Mosiashvili: Charges against Otar Partskhaladze are groundless; defence rejects prosecution's version
Otar Partskhaladze’s lawyer, Gagi Mosiashvili, stated that the case materials have not yet been handed over to the defence.
He further stated that the charges brought against Otar Partskhaladze are groundless and devoid of legal reality.
Gagi Mosiashvili declares that upon examination of the case materials, detailed analysis of the evidence, and in the conditions of an independent court, the truth will inevitably be revealed.
“On December 29, 2025, a resolution concerning charges against my client, Otar Partskhaladze, was officially handed down; however, the case materials have not yet been provided to the defence, without which it is impossible to conduct a full, objective and legal assessment of the substance of the charges.
In this regard, I consider it necessary to state clearly and unequivocally:
Firstly, we categorically oppose any attempt to politicise this case. Legal proceedings are not and cannot be used as a tool for manipulating the political agenda or public opinion.
Secondly, and of fundamental importance, the charges brought against Otar Partskhaladze are unfounded and lack any legal basis. The defence firmly rejects the version presented by the prosecution and affirms that it will not withstand the standards of a fair trial.
The defence is confident that, upon examining the case materials and conducting a detailed analysis of the evidence within the framework of an independent and impartial court, the truth will inevitably be uncovered. Meanwhile, all unfounded charges brought by the prosecution will be met with the appropriate legal response.
The defence will utilise all lawful means to ensure an objective review of the case and the full protection of my client’s rights,” Gagi Mosiashvili declared.
