Law enforcement officers disrupt organised drug ring, seize large quantities of narcotics

Officers from the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have apprehended two individuals, brothers identified as A.A., born in 2001, and N.A., born in 2006, on charges related to facilitating the illegal purchase, storage, and sale of a substantial quantity of narcotics by an organised group.

According to the Ministry, investigations have established that the suspects were involved in purchasing and storing a significant amount of the narcotic substance “Alpha PVP” for subsequent distribution.

As part of operational measures conducted under a court warrant to apprehend the suspects, law enforcement officers carried out a controlled delivery of a parcel to a specified address in Rustavi. This operation confirmed the criminal intent of A.A. and N.A.

“The law enforcement officers arrested both individuals and seized a considerable quantity of drugs as evidence. They also recovered materials necessary for packaging narcotics from the suspects’ residence. The investigation is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carry penalties of up to 20 years’ imprisonment or life imprisonment,” stated the Ministry.
