Latvian FM: Georgian People deserve government that respects their European choice; this is not happening currently
Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže, speaking at the Foreign Affairs Council’s doorstep, has refrained from commenting on whether the Kulevi port will be considered for sanctions as part of the EU’s 20th package.
When questioned about the possibility of sanctioning the Georgian port and whether she would support such measures, Braže replied: “I cannot comment on classified discussions, so I’m not going to do that on the particularities.
The Latvian Foreign Minister was also asked to assess the current situation in Georgia. In response, Baiba Braže stated, “The Georgian people deserve a government that respects their European choice.”
She reiterated, “As for the situation in Georgia, Ï think you have heard me saying that I think that the Georgian people deserve the government respecting their European choice, which is not happening currently.”
