Kutaisi airport's passenger traffic increased by 53% in January

Passenger traffic went up by 53 per cent at the Kutaisi International Airport in January.

According to the United Airports of Georgia, the Kutaisi Airport served 85,508 passengers last month, against 55,895 people in January 2019. The number of flights increased by 56%.

The airport carries out 294 flights in 28 directions compared to 188 in 2019.

Five companies from 17 countries operate at the Kutaisi International Airport. Wizz Air, the Hungarian low-coster, will return its third-based plane in June.

Also, from June 4, the Kazakh Air Company FlyArystan will carry out the Almaty-Kutaisi-Almaty flight.
