Kobakhidze: Claims that heroic Georgian troops executed POWs in Abkhazia are the Deep State’s coordinated attack

“A series of recent incidents forms part of a targeted assault, including local Deep State agents branding heroic Georgian soldiers as war criminals and spreading absurd lies claiming that during the conflict in Abkhazia, Georgians took no prisoners and executed them,” stated Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze during a press briefing at the Government Administration.

According to the head of government, this campaign of sabotage directed against Georgia is coordinated by the Deep State and actively supported by its local network of agents.

“A series of recent incidents forms part of this targeted assault, including local Deep State agents branding heroic Georgian soldiers as war criminals and spreading absurd lies claiming that during the conflict in Abkhazia, Georgians took no prisoners and executed them; artificially orchestrated anti-Russian campaigns at Georgia’s seaside resorts; and, as I noted a few days ago, fake posts circulating on social media where individuals using fictitious names, surnames, and professions claim that a hostile environment for Russian tourists has been created in Georgia.

Naturally, the combination of these occurrences is no coincidence; this campaign of sabotage against Georgia is coordinated by the Deep State and actively supported by its local operatives,” noted the Prime Minister.
