Kakha Kuchava assesses the Georgian delegation's visit to US as successful
Kakha Kuchava, Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia assessed the visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to the United States as successful.
“First of all, we heard a message regarding the strengthening of relations between Georgia and the United States. Cooperation should be strengthened not only in the military and defence fields but also in the economic and other areas. One of the important issues we talked about was the issue of Vazha Gaprindashvili. We use all formats to free Georgian doctor from illegal detention, and a visit to US was a great opportunity with this regard. I can’t tell you the details, but there are various formats and ways to increase the pressure with the help of partners to free this person.
We also discussed other issues, including the changes made within the Fourth Wave of judicial reform. They emphasized that implemented reform was a major step forward. They regretted that we failed to adopt the constitutional amendments”, – Kakha Kuchava said.
