Kakha Kaladze: Giorgi Baramidze’s statement against the Georgian state and military was utterly grave
“Giorgi Baramidze’s statement is a continuation of the hybrid war being waged against the Georgian state and its people. What we heard was an utterly grave declaration directed against the Georgian state and the Georgian military,” stated Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze.
According to Kaladze, it is unimaginable to hear such words and leave them unanswered.
“This, too, is a continuation of the hybrid war being waged against the Georgian state and its people. What we heard was an utterly grave statement against the Georgian state and the Georgian army. It is unimaginable to hear the words we heard and leave them unresponded to. This is outright treasonous conduct, an insult to the Georgian state and military. They are nothing short of saboteurs and traitors. These people possess no love whatsoever for our homeland, and this must most certainly be met with a response,” Kaladze declared.
For context, Gia Baramidze stated: “During the war in Abkhazia, Georgian military personnel executed prisoners, which is why the Abkhaz side refused to hand captives over.”
Regarding these statements made by United National Movement member Gia Baramidze, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has launched a criminal investigation into allegations of high treason and sabotage.
