Junkers participate in symbolic marathon commemorating Soviet Occupation Day

Cadets from the Davit Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy took part in a symbolic marathon spanning 1,921 meters in the Kojori-Tabakhmela region to mark the anniversary of the Soviet occupation of Georgia on February 25, 1921.

The cadets paid tribute to the fallen junkers who fought during the battles at Kojori-Tabakhmela by visiting the memorial. They also explored the remnants of the trenches and attended a lecture by Giorgi Beridze, a military historian from the National Defence Academy, who discussed the military operations of 1921.

This event was held as part of Soviet Occupation Week.
