Journalist Gogi Murvanidze, who had a distinguished career spanning 55 years at Adjara TV and Radio of the Public Broadcaster, has passed away at the age of 75.
Throughout his career, Murvanidze held various prominent roles, including serving as the chief editor of artistic, musical, and drama programs. He was also a pioneering sports broadcaster, covering sports events since the inception of television broadcasting in the region.
His exceptional work earned him numerous accolades, including the annual award for best sports reporter.
Additionally, he was a revered figure in his community, holding the esteemed title of Honourable Citizen of Batumi.
