The civil sector will not offer the President a particular candidate for the position of the Chairman of the Supreme Court.

The president of Georgia is responsible for making a decision.

We may suggest a candidate, but president may refuse.

The consultations finished because the majority of the audience did not express their willingness to participate in the process – Constitutionalist Joni Khetsuriani said after the conslutations.

President Giorgi Margvelashvili held a final meeting with the civil sector regarding the candidacy of the Chairman of the Supreme Court.

Nino Gvenetadze, Chairwoman of the Supreme Court, resigned on August 2.

Since then, the Presidential Administrative Office has been holding consultations.
