Joe Wilson says Droa leader, all political prisoners should be released

US Congressman Joe Wilson said the Droa party leader Elene Khoshtaria and all other political prisoners should be released in Georgia.

According to Joe Wilson, free and faie elections are the only way forward.

“Key Georgian opposition leader Elene Khoshtaria has been wrongfully detained by the cowardly anti-American Ivanishvili regime. She and ALL political prisoners must be IMMEDIATELY released. Free and fair elections are the ONLY way forward,” he wrote on the X Platform.

Elene Khoshtaria, leader of the Droa party claims that in Dighomi detention cell, the police used a Russian degrading her dignity method and physically abused her.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) said that Elene Khoshtaria was detained during the March 28 public protest at the parliament on a charge of administrative law violation under Articles 166 and 173 for disobedience to the police and petty hooliganism.
