James Appathurai - We are delighted to be a platform to help Georgia to implement Piece Initiative

We are delighted to have received detailed information about what elements of Peace Initiative implementation needs help and how NATO as a platform should be used for communication – the NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs James Appathurai told First Chanel.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in Georgia Ketevan Tsikhelashvili made a great job.  She spoke about the Peace Initiative and received great support from the ambassadors. 

It was noted at the meeting that the Georgian government`s Peace Initiative was supported at the NATO Summit. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili explained the components of the peace initiative very well.

The State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality in Georgia spoke about the situation in the Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the impact of the current situation on the people, the murders, the impunity of those who committed these crimes, divided societies,  IDPs, the limitations of the Right to Education – James Appathurai stated.
