Jailed Saakashvili's supporters gather near Parliament ahead of Salome Zourabichvili’s speech

Supporters of jailed ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili gathered near the parliament building, where former Georgian President Salome Zourabishvili is scheduled to deliver a speech.

They carried banners bearing the inscriptions: “Freedom for Misha,” “Freedom for Mikheil the Builder,” and “Misha Is in Prison—He Who Built the Country.”

According to the event organizers, there will be a film screening and video greetings from foreign diplomats on May 26. Following these, Salome Zourabishvili will address the crowd. Her speech is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. Additionally, Lithuanian Member of the European Parliament Rasa Juknevičienė is expected to deliver a speech.
