Irakli Kobakhidze labels opposition's statements as absurd

“We ask facilitating ambassadors to state their position on the content of the March 8 agreement,” Irakli Kobakhidze, a member of the parliamentary majority briefed reporters today.

Kobakhidze noted that the statements of the opposition regarding the March 8 agreement “went beyond a limit.”

“What the opposition said is an absolute absurdity. We want to ask the facilitating ambassadors to state their position on what the content of the agreement was. Whether the content of the agreement was illegal interference in the powers of the court, the Prosecutor’s Office and the President,” Kobakhidze said.

The Chair of the Georgian Parliament, Archil Talkvadze also “asked ambassadors to publicly confirm that government has not assumed the obligation to give illegal instructions to the president, the court, and the Prosecutor’s Office, and to release Ugulava, Okruashvili, and Rurua under the signed agreement.”
