Irakli Kobakhidze: Constitutional Court's decision on Marijuana consumption created legal vacuum
Irakli Kobakhidze, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia states that the decision of Constitutional Court on Marijuana consumption created a legal vacuum.
According to him, this vacuum needs to be filled, which is the parliament’s prerogative.
“According to the decision of Constitutional Court a specific legal norm was abolished, and therefore a legal vacuum was created which needs to be filled and this is the parliament’s prerogative. We will have two session weeks in September and we have to start working in order to fill the vacuum immediately in September” – Speaker of the Parliament said.
Constitutional Court of Georgia abolished all sanctions against Marijuana consumption on July 30.
