Irakli Kobakhidze: Certain measures will be taken against me in case if I insult the law enforcers
Irakli Kobakhidze, the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia states that Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia is ready to answer all questions about the current developments at Rustaveli Avenue.
As Kobakhidze noted, the Parliament can get interested additionally and ask additional questions to Giorgi Gakharia.
“We have listened to explanations from the Minister of Internal Affairs about what happened and what was the ground of it. We can get interested additionally and ask him questions. I am convinced that Mr. Gakharia is ready to answer the questions. I also received information about facts, which are reflected by the video-cameras. Consequently, we can watch it and see whether or not the law was violated and the police officers were insulted. Certain measures will be naturally taken against me in case if I insult the law enforcers physically or verbally. The main is that it was not detention, which is restricted by the Constitution, except when the criminal offense is committed”- Irakli Kobakhidze said.
